Membership
As a new organization, membership in the Cultural Studies Association (U.S.) comes with conference registration and should be paid in conjunction with conference fees. All those who pay are members in good standing for the full calendar year in which the conference takes place. Presently, members may elect to participate in up to three divisions, propose new divisions, select division leaders and panels. They also elect members to the governing executive committee and participate in CSA discussions and decisions as these will be promulgated on our website. Beyond the conference we'll be building a capacity that the membership has with respect to one another--things like job networks and advice, curriculum development, publication, public intervention and policy positions, professional resources and the like. That's what it means to build the association, to organize folks who share certain affinities so that we can have an impact on our professional lives and settings.
